What Are Some Good Ways To Cope With Untreatable Constant Ringing In The Ears?

I know the cause and have been to many doctors, I’m 20 and it’s been ringing for 5 years now (you’d reckon I would get used to it, but really the opposite is happening). I’m having distress putting up with it because white noise doesn’t work anymore (it just makes it louder). can you reckon of any other ways to make it a bit less irritating? I know it’s mind over matter for the most part but lately I’ve been having distress with that. thanks

It’s NOT just a matter of trying to “reckon” yourself out of it. Have any of your doctors talked to you about tubes through the tympanic membrane? I can’t imagine how frustrating it must be for you! I would reckon that at 20 now you have stopped growing, so there shouldn’t be any further stretching of the membrane, but it’s unlikely to right itself.

There is really not much you can do about it but relaxing activity might make it better,at least for a while. You could also try Yoga it helps your mind and body. The more you give in to it the more it will irritate you.I personally have suffered it during a deep depression, the worst left when I overcame the depression but sometimes when I feel anxiety I is back for a while until I straighten myself out.Relax, relax and relax girl it is the only way to control it. Excellent Luck.

Has Anybody Ever Had Tinnitus Or Ringing In The Ears For Several Days/weeks And Had It Go Away? What Helped?

I was taking a certained medication and had my ears start ringing. When I quit taking the medication my ears stopped ringing. Now, maybe 3 months later, they’re ringing again and I’m not taking anything! Help!

    Dai-
Tinnitus can arise in any of the four sections of the ear: the outer ear, the middle ear, the inner ear, and the brain. Some tinnitus or head noise is normal. If one goes into a sound proof booth and normal outside noise is diminished, one becomes aware of these normal sounds. We are usually not aware of these normal body sounds, because outside noise masks them. Anything, such as wax or a foreign body in the external ear, that blocks these background sounds will cause us to be more aware of our own head sounds. Fluid, infection, or disease of the middle ear bones or ear drum (tympanic membrane) can also cause tinnitus.
One of the most common causes of tinnitus is hurt to the microscopic endings of the hearing nerve in the inner ear. Advancing age is generally accompanied by a certain amount of hearing nerve impairment, and consequently tinnitus. Today, loud noise exposure is a very common cause of tinnitus, and it often hurts hearing as well. Unfortunately, many people are unconcerned about the harmful effects of excessively loud noise, firearms, and high intensity music. Some medications (for example, aspirin) and other diseases of the inner ear (Meniere’s syndrome) can cause tinnitus. Tinnitus can in very rare situations be a symptom of such serious problems as an aneurysm or a brain tumor (acoustic tumor).
Oral antioxidant therapy in patients with idiopathic tinnitus seems to reduce the subjective discomfort and tinnitus intensity and may be considered as an additional treatment modality.

Tinnitus Treatments – How To Stop That Ringing In Your Ears

Tinnitus is an ongoing problem with millions of Americans today. Seeking treatment for your symptoms can be hard and costly as well.

I suffered from objective tinnitus for a two years and was able to cure myself completely after completely allowing myself to see my problem and find a system that would work for me.

If your are suffering from tinnitus, I suggest you approach the symptoms in this way:

    1. Realize what type of tinnitus you have, if your doctor cannot figure out exactly what type to symptom you have then get a neurologist or otologist whose expertise is in the field of ear infections.

    2. After you know what type of infection caused your tinnitus, track back to how exactly that infection occurred. Figuring out the root cause of your tinnitus will help you in curing it properly.

If your doctor prescribed you antibiotics or medicine to cure a prior ear infection, then your tinnitus is most likely caused by the lack of the antibiotics or an allergic reaction to the same exposure.

    3. Usage of antibiotics may help, I tried to rely on prescribed medicines to cure my tinnitus but was not that lucky because my inner ear was very terrible and needed more than medicines to dull the pain.

    4. Eat properly, get a clean diet that is chalked full of vitamins, fruits like fresh pineapple did wonders in suppressing the inflammation. Having a healthy diet is half of the whole problem and can help your body recover naturally and safely.

    5. Provide yourself with proper sleep and exercise, if you don’t do either of these I suggest that you start applying them to you daily schedule. Proper sleep is a huge one, if you are having distress sleeping because of the ringing then play a recording of rain or water flow.

    6. This step was crucial for me, meditate for a few hours daily. If you don’t have the time for this or have no knowledge on proper meditation, just take 15 minute breaks and sit down and reckon of absolutely nothing. It may should like a waste of time but you are saving mental energy, this will help you overcome your problems psychologically and give you peace of mind.

    7. Like I said in step 6 getting a form of psychological help can be one of the best things you can do for yourself in times like these, getting a psychologist or learning how to tell your mind that the problem doesn’t exist can help you greatly, eliminating the problem in your mind is the first step in eliminating the problem physically.

Tinnitus is a commonly recurring, if you do not approach it correctly and give your symptoms the attention it requires the symptoms will come back. If you are having an ongoing problem with tinnitus please buy this e-book that I used to cure my tinnitus. It is an e-book, no medication or any sort of crazy scheme, simple instructions and ways to properly treat tinnitus symptoms.
